THINKING OF YOU
Alan Fletcher & Tommy Rando © copyright May 2005

Thinking of you started its life many yearsago as, essentially, a country song.

When I hear of tragic accidents in the world I always wonder what the story is behind that caused the events. "Thinking of You" looks at the story behind a single car fatality in the bush and the distraction that brought it about. With Tommy’s additions and Adrian’s production I am proud that the song has reached another musical level more in keeping with the band’s vibe. - Alan

The red dust road snakes across
The hinterland of the Southern Cross
Taking me away from you.
Red dust swirls around the tyres
Eating up those Goodyear miles
A never ending point of view

Chorus:
And I'm thinking of you
I'm thinking of you
Everyday
Every night
Holding you
Holding you tight

Verse 2
When I asked you to be my wife
I had plans for the rest of my life
With you
The tearful eyes that say goodbye
Nothing lasts I don't know why we're through
Do you

Chorus

Bridge
There'll be another girl in another town
Who'll take my hand and lay me down
Touch my cheek with a velvet hand
Say I love you come be my man

But I'll be thinking of You
I'll be thinking of You
Chorus

Verse 3
The locals stare and share a wry smile
The single tree's claimed another life
Red dust swirls around the wreck
Behind the wheel a man lies dead
Cause I was thinkin' of you
